You will need a passport to travel to India. Your passport should be valid until at least June 2023 and it needs to have 2 full empty pages.
If you don’t have enough empty pages, please contact us and we will send you instructions for getting a new passport in time for the tour.
Every traveler to India needs a visa, however, most nationalities may now easily obtain an “E-Visa”. As a result, you don’t have to go through the process of obtaining a tourist visa from the Indian Embassy in your home country and you can simply take care of the procedures online.
As the tour gets closer we will be sending out the specific instructions for obtaining your “E-Visa” as you cannot apply for the visa until a couple of months before the trip. The process is relatively straightforward and costs about $50 USD.
While travel restrictions and regulations are constantly changing around COVID-19, we are committed to ensuring the health and safety of our tour guests and will continue to closely watch and monitor the situation around travel to/from India in the months leading up to the tour.
We will share more details around specifics closer to the tour date based on the current entry requirements at that time.
In order to participate in this tour, you will have to provide proof of travel/health insurance. Travel insurance provides peace of mind that, in case something happens, you don’t have to worry about paying for any health-related costs you may need or about being reimbursed for any travel expenses associated with flight delays or trip cancelations due to unforeseen reasons. It will also cover your possessions in the event that they are misplaced during the trip.
There are many options out there so we do suggest shopping around. Once you have travel insurance, please send us proof of that insurance for our records. You can do so via email by attaching a screenshot or download of your policy confirmation.
The tour’s official arrival day is November 7th. If you want to arrive a day early, in order to get over any jet lag before we start exploring, we can arrange an extra night of accommodation for you at the hotel.
You will soon receive a travel arrangements form asking for your arrival details so that we can arrange your airport transfer and any extra accommodation you may need.
The tour’s official departure day is November 21st and you can book a flight to depart from Delhi at any time during that day. If you plan to stay longer in India, you can let us know on the Travel Arrangements form and we can assist with any post-trip planning you might need.
