You will need a passport to travel to Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan. Your passport should be valid until at least December 2024 and it needs to have 2 full empty pages.
If you don’t have enough empty pages, please contact us and we will send you instructions for getting a new passport in time for the tour.
➜ Kyrgyzstan – Citizens of the USA are allowed to enter Kyrgyzstan without a visa for stays of less than 60 days. As a result, no preparations are needed and you don’t need to obtain a tourist visa for this country.
➜ Uzbekistan – United States citizens age 55 or older are exempt from the Uzbekistan visa requirements. As a result, no preparations are needed and you don’t need to obtain a tourist visa for this country.
In order to participate in this tour, you will have to provide proof of travel/health insurance. Travel insurance provides peace of mind that, in case something happens, you don’t have to worry about paying for any health-related costs you may need or about being reimbursed for any travel expenses associated with flight delays or trip cancellations due to unforeseen reasons. It will also cover your possessions in the event that they are misplaced during the trip.
There are many options out there, so we suggest shopping around. Once you have it, please send proof of that insurance to team@wanderingearl.com for our records. You can do so by attaching a screenshot or downloading the policy confirmation.
Your tour’s official arrival day is April 30th and the arrival city is Bishkek. Please note that the arrival airport for this tour is the Manas International Airport (FRU) and your flight to Kyrgyzstan should be booked for this airport only.
You will soon receive a travel arrangements form asking for your arrival details so that we can arrange your airport transfer and any extra accommodation you may need.
Your tour’s official departure day is May 15th. Please note that your tour will finish in the city of Tashkent in Uzbekistan. You can book your departure flight from the Tashkent International Airport (TAS) any time during that day.
If you plan to remain in Uzbekistan or head to any nearby countries after the tour, we can offer any advice about where to go and what to do. We’d be happy to assist in any way we can as we are very familiar with this region of the world!
