You will need a passport to travel to Morocco. Your passport should be valid until at least May 2025 and it should have 2 full empty pages.
If you don’t have enough empty pages, please contact us and we will send you instructions for getting a new passport in time for the tour.
Citizens of the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and most European countries are allowed to enter Morocco without a visa for stays of less than 90 days. As a result, no preparations are needed and you do not need to obtain a tourist visa for this trip. Upon arrival in the country, the immigration officer will simply stamp your passport and you’ll be allowed to enter.
In order to participate in this tour, you will have to provide proof of travel/health insurance. Travel insurance provides peace of mind that, in case something happens, you don’t have to worry about paying for any health-related costs you may need or about being reimbursed for any travel expenses associated with flight delays or trip cancellations due to unforeseen reasons. It will also cover your possessions in the event that they are misplaced during the trip.
There are many options out there, so we suggest shopping around. Once you have it, please send proof of that insurance to team@wanderingearl.com for our records. You can do so by attaching a screenshot or downloading the policy confirmation.
The tour’s official arrival day is October 18th and the arrival city is Casablanca. Please note that the arrival airport for this tour is the Casablanca Mohammed V International Airport (CMN) and your flight to Morocco should be booked to this airport only. In case that you decide to arrive early, we can arrange an extra night of accommodation for you at the hotel.
You will soon receive a travel arrangements form asking for your arrival details so that we can arrange your airport transfer and any extra accommodations you may need.
The tour’s official departure day is October 30th. You can book your departure flight for any time during the day. We recommend booking your return flight out of the Marrakech Menara Airport (RAK), since we will be concluding our trip there. This way, you will fly into Casablanca and out of Marrakech, making it as easy as possible. Usually, flight prices do not change when setting it up this way.
You can also choose to fly out of the Casablanca Mohammed V International Airport (CMN). If you wish to do so, we can arrange a transfer for you for an extra cost. It takes approximately 2.5 hours to drive from Marrakech to the Casablanca Airport and the cost will be split among the number of people in the vehicle.
If you plan to remain in Morocco or head to any nearby countries after the tour, we can offer any advice about where to go and what to do. We’d be happy to assist in any way we can as we are very familiar with this region of the world!
