You will need a passport to travel to Morocco. Your passport should be valid until at least December 2023 and it needs to have 2 full empty pages.
If you don’t have enough empty pages, please contact us and we will send you instructions for getting a new passport in time for the tour.
Most travelers to Morocco are allowed to enter the country without a visa for stays of less than 90 days. As a result, no preparations are needed and you do not need to obtain a tourist visa for this trip.
Upon arrival in the country, the immigration officer will simply stamp your passport and you’ll be allowed to enter. This applies to citizens of the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and most European countries.
While travel restrictions and regulations are constantly changing around COVID-19, we are committed to ensuring the health and safety of our guests and will continue to closely monitor the situation around travel in Morocco in the months leading up to the tour.
We will share more details on the specifics closer to the tour date, but we are currently anticipating that there will be no COVID restrictions to travel to Morocco.
In order to participate in this tour, you will have to provide proof of travel/health insurance. Travel insurance provides peace of mind that, in case something happens, you don’t have to worry about paying for any health-related costs you may need or about being reimbursed for any travel expenses associated with flight delays or trip cancellations due to unforeseen reasons. It will also cover your possessions in the event that they are misplaced during the trip.
There are many options out there, so we suggest shopping around. Once you have it, please send proof of that insurance to team@wanderingearl.com for our records. You can do so by attaching a screenshot or downloading the policy confirmation.
The tour’s official arrival day is May 8th. If you want to arrive a day early in order to get over any jet lag before we start exploring, we can arrange an extra night of accommodation for you at the hotel.
You will soon receive a travel arrangements form asking for your arrival details so that we can arrange your airport transfer and any extra accommodation you may need.
The tour’s official departure day is May 21st, you can book your departure flight any time during that day. We recommend booking your return flight out of Marrakech since we will be concluding our trip there. This way, you will fly into Casablanca and out of Marrakech, making it as easy as possible. Usually, flight prices do not change when setting it up this way.
If you fly out of Casablanca, we can arrange the transfer for you. It takes approximately 2.5 hours from Marrakech and the additional cost will be split among the number of people heading to Casablanca Airport.
If you plan to remain in Morocco or head to any nearby countries after the tour, we can offer any advice about where to go and what to do. We’d be happy to assist in any way we can as we are very familiar with this region of the world!
