You will need a passport to travel to Uzbekistan. Your passport should be valid until at least December 2024 and it should have 2 full empty pages.
If you don’t have enough empty pages, please contact us and we will send you instructions for getting a new passport in time for the tour.
Citizens of EU countries, UK, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand are allowed to enter Uzbekistan without a visa for stays of less than 30 days. United States citizens age 55 or older are also exempt from visa requirements. United States Citizens age 54 or younger require an ‘E-Visa.’ The process of obtaining an E-Visa is straightforward and can be completed online. As the tour approaches, we will provide specific instructions for obtaining your visa, keeping in mind that applications cannot be submitted more than 90 days before the trip starts. The E-Visa process is simple and costs approximately $20 USD.
In order to participate in this tour, you will have to provide proof of travel/health insurance. Travel insurance provides peace of mind that, in case something happens, you don’t have to worry about paying for any health-related costs you may need or about being reimbursed for any travel expenses associated with flight delays or trip cancellations due to unforeseen reasons. It will also cover your possessions in the event that they are misplaced during the trip.
There are many options out there, so we suggest shopping around. Once you have it, please send proof of that insurance to team@wanderingearl.com for our records. You can do so by attaching a screenshot or downloading the policy confirmation.
The tour’s official arrival day is April 17th and the arrival city is Tashkent. Please note that the arrival airport for this tour is the Tashkent International Airport (TAS) and your flight to Uzbekistan should be booked to this airport only. In case that you decide to arrive early, we can arrange an extra night of accommodation for you at the hotel.
You will soon receive a travel arrangements form asking for your arrival details so that we can arrange your airport transfer and any extra accommodations you may need.
The tour’s official departure day is April 30th. Please note that the tour will finish in the city of Tashkent. You can book your departure flight from the Tashkent International Airport (TAS) at any time during the day. If you plan to stay in the city for an extra night or two, we can book extra nights of accommodations for you at the hotel we will use for the tour.
If you plan to remain in Uzbekistan or head to any nearby countries after the tour, we can offer any advice about where to go and what to do. We’d be happy to assist in any way we can as we are very familiar with this region of the world!
