Wander Across India
October 22nd – November 5th, 2023
Passport
You will need a passport to travel to India. Your passport should be valid until at least May 2024 and it should have 2 full empty pages.
If you don’t have enough empty pages, please contact us and we will send you instructions for getting a new passport in time for the tour.
Visa
Every traveler to India needs a visa, however, citizens of the USA, Australia, New Zealand, and most European countries may easily obtain an “e-visa”. With the e-visa, you can simply take care of the procedures online.
Overall, the process is very easy, takes about 5 minutes and costs about $50 USD. We recommend applying for your e-visa 1 month prior to the tour. We will send out the detailed instructions to obtain the visa through the official government website once the dates get closer.
Canadian citizens need to obtain a visa from the Indian Embassy/Consulate. To apply for this visa, please make an appointment at BLS – the official Indian visa processing agency in Canada – at your earliest convenience. BLS will provide you with the visa instructions.
Arrival / Departure Airport
Please note that the arrival and departure airport for this tour is Delhi Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL) and your flight to/from India should be for this airport only.
Travel/Health Insurance
In order to participate in this tour, you will have to provide proof of travel/health insurance. Travel insurance provides peace of mind that, in case something happens, you don’t have to worry about paying for any health-related costs you may need or about being reimbursed for any travel expenses associated with flight delays or trip cancellations due to unforeseen reasons. It will also cover your possessions in the event that they are misplaced during the trip.
There are many options out there, so we suggest shopping around. Once you have it, please send proof of that insurance to team@wanderingearl.com for our records. You can do so by attaching a screenshot or downloading the policy confirmation.
Arrival in Delhi
The tour’s official arrival day is October 22nd and the arrival city is Delhi. Please note that you should fly into the Indra Gandhi International Airport (DEL). In case that you decide to arrive early, we can arrange an extra night of accommodation for you at the hotel.
You will soon receive a travel arrangements form asking for your arrival details so that we can arrange your airport transfer and any extra accommodations you may need.
Departure from Delhi
The tour’s official departure day is November 5th. Please note that the tour will finish in the city of Delhi. You can book your departure flight for any time during the day from the Indra Gandhi International Airport (DEL). If you plan to stay in the city for an extra night or two, we can book extra nights of accommodation for you at the hotel we will use for the tour.
If you plan to remain in India or head to any nearby countries after the tour, we can offer advice about where to go and what to do. We’d be happy to assist in any way we can as we are very familiar with this region of the world!
That’s all for now!
We hope that you are getting very excited about our upcoming adventure to spectacular India!
We will be in touch shortly with even more details. In the meantime, please do not hesitate to reach out to us anytime at team@wanderingearl.com
