You will need a passport to travel to Jordan. Your passport should be valid until at least January 2025 and it should have 2 full empty pages.
If you don’t have enough empty pages, please contact us and we will send you instructions for getting a new passport in time for the tour.
Citizens of the USA, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and most European countries need a visa to enter Jordan. However, to facilitate this process, we will obtain a “Jordan Pass” for you. This pass doesn’t replace your visa, but it does mean that you won’t have to pay for any visa fees upon arrival. The pass will also give us access to various attractions during our trip. We’ll send you your Jordan Pass via email a few weeks before the tour. You must simply print it and present it to the immigration officer upon arrival, who will issue your visa and entry stamp. As a result, you do not need to arrange your visa ahead of time.
In order to participate in this tour, you will have to provide proof of travel/health insurance. Travel insurance provides peace of mind that, in case something happens, you don’t have to worry about paying for any health-related costs you may need or about being reimbursed for any travel expenses associated with flight delays or trip cancellations due to unforeseen reasons. It will also cover your possessions in the event that they are misplaced during the trip.
There are many options out there, so we suggest shopping around. Once you have it, please send proof of that insurance to team@wanderingearl.com for our records. You can do so by attaching a screenshot or downloading the policy confirmation.
The tour’s official arrival day is May 28th and the arrival city is Amman. Please note that the arrival airport for this tour is the Queen Alia International Airport (AMM) and your flight to Jordan should be booked for this airport only. In case that you decide to arrive early, we can arrange an extra night of accommodation for you at the hotel.
You will soon receive a travel arrangements form asking for your arrival details so that we can arrange your airport transfer and any extra accommodations you may need.
The tour’s official departure day is June 7th. Please note that the tour will finish in the city of Amman. We’ve organized a transfer from our hotel at the Dead Sea to Amman’s Queen Alia International Airport (AMM) in the morning. You can book your departure flight from that airport at any time after 10:00am during that day. Should your travel schedule require a different departure time, your tour leader will readily assist you with your transportation. If you plan to stay in either Amman or the Dead Sea for an extra night or two, we can book extra nights of accommodation for you at the hotels we will use.
If you plan to remain in Jordan or head to any nearby countries after the tour, we can offer advice about where to go and what to do. We’d be happy to assist in any way we can as we are very familiar with this region of the world!
