Wander to Egypt (+ Jordan option)
What more do you need? It’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to explore two of the most alluring countries on the planet.
It’s a trip through history, with an addition of grand markets and delicious local food. It’s an adventure that includes an overnight on a local felucca boat and another night in a desert yurt.
We’ll examine some of humanity’s most important locations while interacting with local people and learning about their way of life.
As always, this is not a typical tour. It’s a small group trip that combines the best sights with education, first-hand experience and a laid-back, awesome time everywhere we go!
This trip has two parts – a 10-day experience in Egypt and an optional 5-day extension to Jordan.
Activities (this is not everything, just a small sample!):
Cairo – Pyramids, Egyptian museum, bazaars, Memphis, Saqqara, free time
Aswan – Philae temple, Nubian family dinner, St. Simion Monastery, Abu Simbel, free time
Kom Ombo – Kom Ombo and Edfu temples
Luxor – Karnak and Luxor temples, Valley of the Kings, markets, Colossi of Memnon, free time
Optional Jordan extension:

Guide for: India, Istanbul, Romania, Mexico, Morocco
In 1999 I began living, traveling and working around the world. I’ve taught English in Thailand, worked as a Tour Manager on board cruise ships and I've run a popular travel blog, WanderingEarl.com, for the past 9 years. In 2012, I started Wandering Earl Tours, and I've been organizing and leading tours in over a dozen countries ever since.
When asked why I travel, my answer is always the same. People. I'm addicted to meeting new people that I would never have met if I wasn't traveling. Through these interactions I am able to gain a first-hand education like no other and that education alone is exactly what keeps me on the road for so long. As a result, organizing and leading super-fun trips has been the perfect match for me!
