Head into Central Asia for an adventure through mountains, remote villages, deserts, ancient cities, gorgeous lakes, yurt camps and more. This itinerary is packed with traditional experiences and local interaction, making it ideal for any traveler who wishes to truly explore these mysterious lands.

– Song-kul Lake
– Afternoon wander near the lake
– Night in a yurt camp
(Total driving time to Song-kul can be 7 hours including all stops. But it’s a gorgeous drive!)

June 10th: SONG-KUL LAKE
– Song-kul Lake (free day to enjoy local activities – fishing, horse riding, hiking, etc.
– Night in a yurt camp

June 11th: KAZARMAN
– Drive to the small soviet village of Kazarman (6.5 hour drive through the stunning mountains)
– Walking tour of the village (it’s like stepping back in time 30 years!)
– Night at a local homestay

June 12th: JALAL-ABAD
– Morning drive to the small city of Jalal-abad (3 hours)
– Afternoon unique spa experience at an old soviet spa

Tour to Kyrgyzstan

June 13th: OSH
– Drive to Osh (3 hours)
– Walking tour of this culturally fascinating, traditional city

June 14th: OSH
– Visit to one of the largest animal markets in Central Asia
– Osh Bazaar
– Sulayman Mountain

– Drive to the Do’stlik border crossing
– Cross into Uzbekistan
– Drive to Fergana (stops along the way)

June 16th: TASHKENT
– Early morning departure for Tashkent
– Local pottery workshop
– Local silk workshop
– Khan’s Palace in Kokand
– Arrival in Tashkent
(The complete trip will take about 10 hours, including the stops along the way.)

June 17th: SAMARKAND
– Guided city tour of Tashkent
– Tashkent’s main bazaar
– Afternoon drive to Samarkand (4 hours)

June 18th: SAMARKAND
– Full tour of Samarkand
– Registan
– Bibi-Khanum mosque
– Ulugh Bek observatory
– Afternoon free time (optional visit to an ancient hamam/bathhouse)
– Evening visit/traditional dinner with a local family

– Drive to Nurata yurt camp
– Travel through the Uzbek steppes and desert
– Time to explore the camp surroundings (interact with camels, light hiking)
– Night in a traditional Uzbek yurt

June 20th: BUKHARA
– Morning drive to Bukhara (one of the most beautiful cities in Uzbekistan!)
– Afternoon tour of the ancient mosques, caravanserais, monuments and more
– Evening out in town for a local experience

June 21st: BUKHARA
– Walking tour inside the old city walls
– Kalyan minaret
– Bolo Haus mosque
– Main bazaar
– Local crafts and jewelry market

June 22nd: TASHKENT
– Morning high speed train to Tashkent
– Afternoon around Tashkent
– Local restaurant for dinner, drinks and conversation about the adventure!
